Leica 250 Reporter with "K"

This camera is basically the GG version with the Kugellager feature which means that the advancing system and  the shutter blind and the rewind knob were mounted on ball bearing. Those camera were coupled to electric motors with 3 different types of connections. The K250 needed an electric motor that needed to be adapted to every single camera in order to work properly and in fact the number of the camera was engraved on the base plate attached to the motor. The K250 were produced in a number of only 29 cameras from 1943 to 1946. Lees verder

Leica 250 Reporter "Brigham"

Again a very nice and rare camera and this time it is a very early Leica FF Reporter camera. As you see on the attached pictures this camera has got some engravings on it and this is also why this camera is/has got such a fascinating history. Brigham was a camera shop at the time in Bridlington and Bridlington was a lovely seaside summer resort in England,Yorkshire where a lot of people went on vacation/holliday. This camera (the shop actually owned quite a few of these 250 FF”s) was used for shooting people during their holidays at the beach and the Brigham camera shop had several photographer employed at that time who were shooting pictures with various reporter cameras. Ralph Gibson

Ralph Gibson (born  January 16, 1939, Los Angeles, California) is an American art photographer best known for his photographic books. His images often incorporate fragments with erotic and mysterious undertones, building narrative meaning through contextualization and surreal juxtaposition. Ralph Gibson studied photography while in the US Navy and then at the San Francisco Art Institute. Fake Leica

The sculpture was created by the Chinese artist Liao Yibai. There are only  three copies of this "Fake Leica": one is located in the store in Lisse, Leica Camera AG got the second one and a distributor got the third copy. The camera body is based on Leica M6 and M7 and even has M9 design pieces on the back (LCD screen). This is where the name "Fake Leica" comes from. Lees verder

Leica “MP-188”

This is a very rare and 100% original and authentic Leica MP in chrome which has got serialnumber : MP-188. All parts of this camera are 100% original which you do not see that often with these rare and older type camera. Ending on “88” makes this camera even more special for the Chinese people,being “88” a very Lucky number. Leica “MP-16”

This is a very low serialnumbered original Leica MP 16 in CHROME (!!) which belonged to the famous Italian photographer Tazio Secchiaroli who got famous by his pictures he shot at the movie “La Dolce Vita” in Rome from the famous movie director Frederico Fellini.   As whilst Fellini was directing his movies,Secchiaroli was always around the stage taking pictures and often was falling and taking pics of Fellini himself, one day Fellini told him that "you are like Paparazzo". Paparazzo was one of his classmates at school and Fellini said that he was always around him,the same as Secchiaroli whilst he was filming/making the movie. Then the word Paparazzobecame a synonymous of the photographers of La Dolce Vita in Rome during the 50/60's. Lees verder

  The chrome IIICK,"never" Leica made the IIICK with the engraving "Luftwaffen-Eigentum" at the back as with this camera is the case !! Only a batch of 50 cameras is known and started with serial number : 387100 and end with 387049. This one in particular is quite amazing since it is the exact same one which is mentioned in the Lager book itself (on page 86) !!! Serial number: 387103K   Note:   The Leica IIIcK 389567K and Summitar 578707  both went to Berlin on 7. 5. 43 on shipment 9634 and not many were delivered with the Red K,a very rare outfit. Leica Anastigmat

Leica “Anastigmat” serie with serialnumber : 148. This camera is very rare, special and absolutely 100% original and authentic  state. the knobs are low, or short - in later models they are taller the counter frame is engraved "0/40" it has a ratchet winding mechanism (unfortunately there is no photo of the inside showing this, but it is audible when it is wound),and this was removed (or changed) starting with production camera #626 it has a 6-speed dial there is a short black paint re-wind lever there is a plain mushroom push the eye piece finder is flat there is a datum line engraved on the lens barrel, and there are 3 black lines on the flange where you close the lens it has the early type leatherette the baseplate does not have the 2 screws in the middle, and there are no arrows accompanying "Auf/Zu" the front of the lens is curved, not straight - photo A-148-11, you see the "channel" just inside edge is "softer" the serial number of the lens is machine engraved on the back of the knob Unique to the very early camera and this one is an original feauture that you only will find on the NULLSERIE on the back of the camera that there is not a metal circle dot in the middle of the vulcanite but that all the vulcanite is plain. That metal circle black dot was for covering a screw that was used for focusing the lens. Lees verder
